To anyone looking to  rent this newly listed Holiday property - it is truly wonderful- we stayed there this Autumn, when it had just opened. We received a warm welcome from the farm owners, and found an excellent Welcome Pack waiting for us.

It is superbly equipped, from the Woodburner to the Wok, but the very best thing is the location - the view from the sitting room window reaches across the low fields to the sea, then across the straight to the Isle of Arran - no towns, no houses and no other lights at night.
The noisiest thing we encountered was the odd shepherd on a quad bike and some teenage lambs, otherwise it is buzzards, curlews rock pippets, and oyster catchers all the way. There is more walking than we could do in a week - from the coastal path to the lighthouse, to the closer walks that can all lead back to the farm . The atmospheric  and ancient chapel of St Blanes is only a short walk from the cottage, as is the beach, a few fields away at Dunagoil.
This is a working farm and we were lucky enough to see the sheep dogs working every day. If you want a real taste of life on a Scottish island farm - we would certainly recommend this.
